Lian is an Underwriter on our political risk and trade credit insurance team. She serves clients in the Southeast and Greater Asia region. She has worked in political risk and trade credit insurance since 2006, initially as an international risk analyst at Exporters Insurance Company in New York, where she focused on counterparty credit and sovereign risks in emerging markets. In 2008, she joined QBE as a senior risk analyst and helped monitor their structured trade and political risk portfolio, particularly with risks in Southeast Asia and Latin America. She joined XL Group in 2013 and relocated to Singapore.
Lian holds an MBA in finance and international business from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from New York University.
Yue is Vice President and Regional Risk Manager for XL Catlin Political Risk and Trade Credit. He has worked in the political risk and credit insurance industry since 2006, previously at Exporters Insurance Company and QBE Americas before joining XL Group in 2011. Yue manages a team of risk analysts based in New York, London and Singapore that is responsible for the credit and political risk analysis of the group. Yue’s area of expertise is focused mainly in the emerging markets, including Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, MENA and Sub-Sahara Africa. He has ample experience with risks of expropriation, nationalization, political violence, currency convertibility/transfer, state contract alteration and sovereign credit default. He also works with credit risks involved in trade and project financing transactions in a wide array of industries.
Yue holds an MBA degree in Finance and International Business from New York University, and a BA in Political Science and Economics from University of Michigan. Yue is based in New York City and is fluent in English, Chinese and Spanish. He has published various academic papers and articles about political and economic issues in the emerging markets.
